From December 2013 until the new National Gallery – Alexandros Soutzos Museum building is inaugurated, the new permanent display of the Greek painting collections is housed in one of the two buildings of the former royal stables at Alsos Stratou Park in Athens. A summary of the National Gallery Collections permanent display housed in the old National Gallery building, it includes some 120 works. They date from the early years of Greek Independence up to the 1930s, providing an overview of Modern-Greek painting until about 1950.
